Care advice
Preserve your favourite tool
The “ Quality Control ” seal on the rings of your scissors confirms the final inspection carried out by our after-sales workshop in France.
To keep enjoying every cut and extend the life of your tools, follow these care routines.
Checking and adjusting blade tension
As you cut, the natural pressure from your hand gradually loosens the adjustment screw.
The risk: scissors that are too loose fold the hair instead of cutting it cleanly and wear the edge prematurely.
The golden rule: check the tension every morning or as soon as you notice a drop in cutting performance.
Correct tension keeps movement smooth, reduces hand effort and preserves cutting precision.
How do you test the tension?
- Hold the scissors vertically by one ring.
- Lift the other handle to 90°, then let it fall freely.
- The blade should stop gently around two-thirds of the way down. If it closes completely straight away, the tension is too low.
How do you adjust blade pressure?
Use the adjustment key supplied with your scissors. Turn the screw clockwise, one notch at a time.
Caution: never tighten abruptly. You could damage the washer and screw mechanism.
Protecting and storing your tools
After each use: wipe your scissors and store them carefully in their case.
Avoid: leaving your scissors unprotected against other metal objects. Small impacts can chip the blade edges.
The golden rules of use and cleaning
Use only for hair: cut only human hair, never paper, plastic or synthetic hair.
Never: immerse the blades in bleach or a harsh disinfectant bath.
Disinfecting and drying: after using an antibacterial spray or wipe, immediately dry the blades with a soft, clean cloth. Do not let the product dry on the steel.
